Meet the Owner
Meet Andy.
Founder and owner of Golden Hammer Construction.
Andy was born and raised in Alaska, where a strong work ethic and hands-on skills were part of everyday life. Growing up hunting, fishing, and trapping, he learned early on the value of hard work, resilience, and self-reliance. From a young age, he also showed a natural interest in building — at just 12 years old, he constructed a treehouse 16 feet off the ground using his dad's tools and scrap lumber from job sites, laying the foundation for what would become his career.
After graduating high school, Andy spent four years commercial fishing while also working part-time in construction. While his goal was to one day own a boat and fish full-time, he ultimately discovered his true passion was in construction — building, creating, and improving homes.
With that realization, he returned to his hometown and used his savings to start what is now Golden Hammer Construction. Today, Andy takes pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship, honest service, and reliable results to homeowners across Interior Alaska.
